Prince Harry, has never been known to be much of a wellness guru.
Meghan Markle is a well-known health and fitness addict. While she’s previously said she isn’t a believer of diets (she prefers the term “lifestyle eating”), she’s also admitted that she goes vegan during the week and lets herself indulge in wine, fries, and ice cream—her three vices—on the weekends. She’s also a fitness fiend who credits yoga, pilates, and running with maintaining her svelte figure and glowing skin.
Prince Harry, on the other hand, has never been known to be much of a wellness guru. According to former Kensington Palace chef Darren McGrady, the Prince’s favorite foods growing up included cottage pie and bananas and custard, and he was known for his love of Kentucky Fried Chicken in his army days. But now that he’s getting married to a vegan fitness goddess, it’s all kale smoothies and quinoa salad from here on in.
According to The Daily Mail, the royal bride-to-be has put her future hubby on a strict “clean eating” plan that involves cutting out carbs, processed food, and meat, in favor of a more plant-based diet. She’s also got him hitting the gym with an exclusive membership that reportedly costs nearly $800 a month. Finally, like the California native she is, Markle reportedly got him a top-of-the-line juicer to introduce him to all the blessings fruits and veggies have to offer.
Apparently, all the hard work is paying off, as sources say Prince Harry has already lost 7 pounds (not that he wasn’t already pretty fit to begin with). Despite the fact that Markle was already pretty petite to begin with, sources also say she’s already needed to have her dress taken in several times thanks to their wedding diet.
Markle has previously said that her “ideal day” would start with a clean cleanse vanilla shake blended with blueberries, a nicoise salad for lunch, a little goat’s cheese on a baguette, and seafood for dinner, so lookslike we know what they’ll be having on the honeymoon.
